Walk a mile with me, in my shoes. Will you feel and understand my overflowing emotions? Just enjoy and feel my happiness as I take away your sadness for once. Will you walk with me? As I look into your eyes, so brown I want to bow down, Pick your shoes up for you, No, not those causing you pain and suffering But something else, something outliving those memories So, walk a mile in my shoes and feel my emotions, will you? Walk with me as I show you a new world, a possibility
As I look again into those eyes, so fierce I realize that you're on top, and I shy away Blushing as my cheeks turn red, Gushing over your kindness in my thoughts, Brushing them away only to come back to dreamland Walk a mile with me, holding my hands, would you? Just like in my dreams, ceaselessly and endlessly to no return As I look into your eyes, ever so expressive I get the jitters, the shivers; s-caring away my nerves to tangle into a crochet ball, still waiting to be unraveled by those eyes just like a cat following and undoing a yarn ball So, walk a mile with me to calm my nerves, will you? Walk with me as we chase our thrilled peace forever Suddenly, when I look into those same eyes, so assured, So patient and so confident; I wonder if you changed Maybe! you're more tolerant than you think you are Patient for stupid me to recognize the yearning in those eyes Patient, as I delayed the yearning in me for those eyes and Patient, as I struggled to fight my own fears Yet not complacent with our achievements So, will you walk with me, a mile further, farther, please Farther than the end of the world could gaze, without gazing into the abyss Now, the next time I look into those eyes, Maybe, I will have changed how I look at you Maybe I will have changed how I laugh with you Maybe I will have realized why I love you Maybe, just maybe, I shall be more relaxed, less anxious, more confident, and less dramatic Let's fight more, more often, with more conviction
Let's fight till dawn, till eternity, like those in fiction
Next time, as you walk a mile with me,
Will you think about me, about us?
