The sounds of the winds

This is a journal of my touch-and-go relationship with the wind as I bike from my home to work on a cloudy morning. While it sounds un-ordinary, it is anything but that. Are you interested in a vicarious readback of my journey? A journey, "supposed to be 15 mins", but turned into a mindbending warp of 45 minutes. The scene begins- with me sitting on the hill near my house. The winds blow away the clouds, forcing them to hide the sun, the sun ever so shy. (dedicated to boo-boo)

Have you seen me? Seen me, sitting idle on a pedestal atop the hill Looking at you, listening to you!! You might think I am lonely But no, I am anything but that

Have you heard me recently? I speak of you, to you Even when I can't really see!! You might think I am crazy But nope, I am anything but that The leaves belie your otherwise shy silence I can hear you, oh yes, so clear As the waves echo your presence while you think about hiding in plain sight!! You might think I am blind Oh yes, I am, I am to your short-comings!! Finally, as I get ready, up on the bike Ready to leave this place to work, You cry, dramatically following me on a Nimbus As I look behind, the clouds turn blue as if it were a litmus paper!! You might think I am slower Oh, maybe to wisdom, but not to you I am exhausted, tired - of keeping up the facade, maybe -of people judging you, sure - of cycling in your wake? Never But knowing you are on my tail makes me smile Gleefully, feeling rest-assured that someone stalks me to protect!! You might think I am not street-smart But no, I am anything but that How are you so elegant, yet so humble? You can bring down houses in a jiffy, And yet, you struggle to caress my cheeks I love it when you follow me,   bother me to enjoy a 10-minute break; Alright! You tell me, which places have you been to while I admire the white dusty clouds decorating thy porous body? You might think I am not a good listener Oh! But I am! For I am fluent in silence I think it's time, to part ways Every good things come to an end While we had fun, trees yearn for your grace Droughts wait to be quenched Go ahead!! push the raincloud to someone who needs you Who needs you more Cause I had fun dancing in the rain And I will wait, I can wait

She might think I don't have patience

But you know, of my patience, of my yearning for your return

If you don't want to return

So it shall be

But I want you to be happy

To roam around in free flight

Happy as ever happy as a bee looking for nectar

In a yellow sunflower on a yellow rose

As stimulated as a red sparrow high on wine

High on the ceiling stuck on a twisted vine

I shall call you in heaven's own backyard

In the aftermath of a hurricane on the other side of earth

You know I'm not lonely now

For I can summon you whenever I want, whenever I'm sad
