It Always Snows the First Time!

Updated: 2 days ago

This is a journal of my first-hand experience with SNOW

I remember the day distinctly Walking through a blizzard A storm facing another Yes, a first indeed! Words fail me as I strive to describe a rather bizarre yet majestic wonder with Winds at -22 degrees pounding me albeit pounding me with a peacock's feather As these White feathers fall down, I begin to realize all but a nasty trap - Set by heaven to lure me out Into the winds, into the blizzard's feisty wrap True! I failed to realize sooner but even if I knew earlier I would love to fail again, To enjoy this scene, enjoy this one more time A time, set in motion to bring us together With Snow, with a white feather Marked by your unworldly, chilly yet satisfying contact with my face Before I can look up to confess my love, You pour down, rushing to touch my face, Parting from heaven's own collection To become mine I know, I come from a place Hot or Cold? You may ask! Yeah, It's a furnace! Not too far from the Equator But it's my home that keeps you away

So, I have come here so far away from home Eagerly awaiting your arrival To meet you in silence, in retreat Indeed, I took all these years Waiting, Biding my time Moving Slower than a snail's funeral But it was all worth it, wasn't it? Worth every gold, every pain As I battle the feisty blizzard to meet you for the first time!!! In a place not so far from heaven, yet not so close to the global-warmed hell ! Oh, you know what I would give away To meet you again for the first time!!
